Monitoring

Hyperplex is constantly monitored for suspicious activities by both internal and external teams. This helps us both optimize yields and pull circuit breakers even if a single dollar is misplaced.

Circuit Breakers

Though it’s unlikely to be used, we improve upon the industry standard by adding circuit breakers that automatically reject suspicious transactions. A combination of emergency fail-safes, permissioned roles, and time-gating ensure smooth and safe operations even in our early days.

How do I use Hyperplex?
Simply by depositing an LP position, you are using Hyperplex. Choose any of your existing LPs along with a collection of perks to add. You won’t see your position on the original AMM anymore but you’ll be able to see it on Hyperplex along with the original yield and your new yield.
Which AMMs do you support?
On Berachain we’re focusing on Kodiak at the moment. Soon we’ll add support for Uniswap and eventually other AMMS like Trader Joe, Ambient, Algebra, Camelot, Aerodrome and more.
Why is regular AMM liquidity inefficient?
AMMs are designed to efficiently support swaps over everything else. This means they don't maximize yield. This is by design because in the early days of AMMs gas was extremely expensive and they could only prioritize one function. However, since then gas prices have plummeted thus allowing for a plethora of optimizations.
What are the risks of using Hyperplex?
The main risk is smart contract risk, just like other defi protocols. Depending on the perks you choose though, it'll be mix of those protocols' risks so make sure to pick them according to your risk appetite. Each perk has a description of their respective risks. Ultimately though, you are not at risk for more IL.
Why hasn't this been built before?
Two reasons: gas and complexity. Building this wasn’t easy. There was nothing to fork from, no research paper to spell out what to do. It took us two years of experimenting with different designs to find one that balances function with usability. However, our solution was far too gas intensive to implement until now that ultra-low cost chains are available.
What actually happens when I re-deposit an LP position?
A re-deposited LP is immediately broken down into a specifically chosen set of pieces. Some of these pieces are put back into the AMM, and some are placed into the rehypothecators of your choosing. These pieces are bucketed with the pieces of other AMM LPs from other users and then we make bulk optimizations over these buckets.
Do you have stable swaps?
Coming soon! We replicate the stable swap curve using Kodiak’s regular concentrated curve. This lets users access Kodiak’s order flow but keep the utility of a stable swap. Furthermore, our optimizations actually work even better for stable pairs!
